Over a one year period the team at Buro Seating set out to find the ‘Perfect Match’, the challenge of raising $5,500 for the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind to match a guide dog with a visually impaired person.

Our team really got behind this charity project, and came up with a variety of amazing fundraising projects.

Tim Howard and Andy McRobbie set themselves the challenge of completing the Alps 2 Ocean world-famous cycling trail,  from Aoraki Mt Cook to Oamaru by foot! After 5 grueling days and blisters as proof, they crossed the line. A huge thank you goes to Simon Phillips who supported Tim and Andy along the way.

Budding artists Nigel Slight and Sophie Kneebone picked up their brushes for the cause and produced paintings – Lake Ohau and Sunflower Field.

Tanya Cowsill put on her apron, loaded up the Buro trailer with the BBQ and along with a team of very willing helpers, turned on a very successful sausage sizzle.

Roxy is the special dog that was chosen as our ‘Perfect Match’. Roxy was born on 24 February 2012. She is a beautiful black Labrador. Roxy has graduated and is now working with a lady in Waikanae. She is proving to be a very valuable, respected guiding dog for her new owner.

We would like to thank all our supporters who have helped us reach our goal. We are extremely grateful for your support.

We are very proud as a team to have reached our goal for RNZFB and Roxy’s new owner.
